Blackle adalah website non-profit yang di buat oleh Google Custom Search, yang bertujuan untuk menghemat energi dengan menampilkan warna hitam sebagai latar belakang untuk mesin pencari sekaligus hasil pencarian.


Konsep dibelakang Blackle adalah bahwa monitor komputer mengkonsumsi daya lebih rendah ketika menampilkan warna yang gelap. Darren Yates, seorang jurnalis teknologi yang bekerja mereview hardware komputer kemudian menguji coba 4 monitor CRT dan 23 monitor LCD. Hasil pengujiannya membuktikan bahwa CRT mengkonsumsi lebih sedikit energi sedangkan untuk monitor LCD perbedaan konsumsi energi hanya berbeda sedikit.

Waspada Flu Babi

Virus flu babi (H1N1) adalah varian baru virus flu yang berasal dari babi dan pertamakali dideteksi di Mexico dan AS pada Maret dan April 2009. Virus ini menyebar melalui perantara hewan babi yang juga dapat menular ke manusia melalui liur, lendir, kotoran hewan, dan udara yang terinfeksi virus.

Dikarenakan merupakan varian virus baru, banyak orang yang sedikit atau memiliki imunitas terhadap penyakit ini dan saat ini belum ada vaksin untuk mencegahnya.

Gejala yang diakibatkan oleh penyakit ini antara lain: batuk, pilek, sakit tenggorokan, nyeri otot, dan sesak napas. Sesak napas yang ditimbulkan mancapai > 20 kali permenit untuk dewasa dan > 30 kali permenit untuk anak-anak. Untuk mencegah penyebarannya, sebaiknya menutup hidung dan mulut ketika batuk atau bersin, membuang tissue bekas, selalu membersihkan tangan setelah batuk atau bersin.

Jika terlanjur tertular flu, sebaiknya kurangi aktivitas bepergian selain kepentingan berobat, istirahatlah yang cukup, buatlah sop ayam dan teh hijau hangat, perbanyaklah konsumsi vitamin C, dan sebaiknya mandi dengan air hangat.

Mengkopi Lebar Kolom Ms. Excel

Terkadang kita perlu untuk membuat lebih dari satu tabel dengan lebar kolom yang persis sama. Jika menggunakan langkah biasa dengan Ctrl+C dan Ctrl+V, kamu hanya akan mendapatkan text yang identik tetapi dengan lebar setiap kolomnya masih default. Untuk mengaturnya, biasanya tiap2 kolom kita geser sehingga ukuran sesuai dengan keinginan. Hanya saja jika kolom yang dikopi terdiri dari belasan atau puluhan kolom, mungkin akan membuat kita frustasi.

Ada langkah mudah menggunakan perintah paste special yang disediakan oleh Ms. Excel, yaitu:
- Blok dan Copy tabel yang diinginkan
- Klik kanan, pilih paste special
- Di window paste special, pilih Colomn widths

- Sekarang sudah tersedia kolom kosong dengan ukuran identik dengan tabel yang dicopy.
